Jordyn is a second-year Labovitz School of Business and Economics student at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She is studying marketing while also pursuing a minor in management. Jordyn's optimistic but efficient mindset makes her a great person to work with, and she will constantly put forth her best effort. She is known for her kind heart and fantastic communication skills.
Jordyn Cherishes Connections
Jordyn has always been a fan of creating personal relationships. She adores listening to peoples' ideas and observing the variety of their opinions. Jordyn grew up in Cloquet, MN, attending Cloquet High School, and graduated as the president of her class. She loves the outdoors, which led her to choose the University of Minnesota Duluth for her next four years of education. In the spring of 2024, she joined her sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, and quickly fell in love. Jordyn is known for being a person to whom everybody can go. She extends her arms to everyone and ensures people feel respected and appreciated. She enjoys hiking, painting, reading, and being around her friends in her free time.
Experience
Customer Service
Worked in retail from age sixteen to now. From a small business sporting goods store to a chain boutique, Jordyn got to see a variety of different approaches to customer service, and customer satisfaction. She gained a lot of skills from this including patience, adaptability, efficiency, problem-solving, and much more.
Leadership
As president of her class, Jordyn learned an expansive amount of leadership skills, as well as some key components of leadership including communication, respect, cooperation, and open-mindedness. She is excited to use these skills in her future leadership positions within her sorority.
Public Speaking
Jordyn has had the opportunity to speak publicly at her church, in her sorority, and throughout high school—most notably at her commencement ceremony. She enjoys the thrill of standing in front of everyone, holding their attention, and getting to share her thoughts.
Technical Knowledge
Growing up in the 2000s gave Jordyn a good understanding of technology. Jordyn has taken classes on tech tools like Excel spreadsheets and has even learned back-side bookkeeping for a retail store. She is quick to learn and master technology.
